Big news...
I've joined forces with west-coast powerhouse mcween.com to forge a new bicoastal, bilingual design collaborative. I'll be functioning as an east-coast extension of their consultancy firm.
mcween.com is currently tackling high-visibility projects for high-level clientele, and has a collection of past work that is simply stunning. Sharp copywriting, slick interaction, targeted and effective advertising. It's all there. Check out the site.
We've been talking about this for a long time, and I am eagerly looking forward to working with them again... great things to come...
everyone sucks.
I am so sick of rain... literally and physically. I think my lungs are flooded with water.
But today, finally, the sun! one day, before 30 more straight of rain. Can't wait to get outside for lunch, play with the remote control car... woo hoo!
Deadbeat bidders on Ebay suck. I really don't understand why people bid at the last minute with no intention of paying... it makes no sense other than to piss me off. I'll sell the intake anyway, so what gives?
Lots of movies this weekend, sickie poo. Jeepers Creepers was pretty creepy, and now another is coming out. 2 Fast 2 Furious was really anything but. Finding Nemo was pretty darned good though.
Checked out a WRX with kendra last night. Sweet, if plain. Again, didn't get to drive it. Drat. But apparently, everything is easier to drive than a MINI. But never quite as fun... the place was in Doylestown, pretty quaint little town, lots of shops and restaurants... will have to check it out one weekend when the sun pokes out for a few hours. It was amazing the number of kids with cars with mufflers though, got buzzed at almost every stoplight there and back... i guess now that it's mainstream, it's only a matter of time before the street racing and tuning craze is just another past fad...
New Radiohead today!

Finally put up some photo work. Ancient stuff... more to come. Slowly.
Senior Show was, in fact, hot. So hot, some of the work was wilting. Good to see peeps though, not too many from my year. But some promising stuff from the graduating class. Will be passing on resumes to the higher-ups.
Charles Eames birthday is this month. http://www.eamesoffice.com/

Guess what... rain!
Tonight is Drexel's Graphic Design Program Senior Show... a big night, the culmination of four years at one of the best design schools in the country... a shame that it's raining, but at least it's not hot like my class show was... congratulations guys! Mister Hogan and I will be in attendance, and hope to see all our fellow alums there (with the exception of Miss Aimee, who is having her rehersal dinner tonight!)...
Also coming up is the student-run annual show AnnX... I worked on the comittee that named it such, and the work my fellow students and I did helped make the show a recognized function and a part of the college budget. Check out the site here. There's a past poster section with 1997's wonderful work displayed.
Great quote of the day:
"I don't need no fucking Milton Glaser." - M. O'Reilly
in response to the age old question of what way you read vertically-oriented type.
Note:
Don't plaster huge website URLs on the side of your car unless the site actually works.

Hard to believe, I know, but today it's raining.
One of the guys who works at (what used to be) Don Rosen MINI posted some pics of the Italian Job opening... I'm not in any, nor is Cooper, but check them out anyway here.
Really nice stuff at Pioneer. Print ads and Flash blend together perfectly... well done.

Breathe. It's still just a job.
Friday afternoon, sun, nite, rain.
Saturday, rain. Sunday, rain.
Monday? Gorgeous.
There are way too many people in Philadelphia. None of them can drive. It takes entirely too long to do anything, find something or get anywhere around here.
S2000s are nice. Even if Kendra won't let me try.
Various MINIs and Minis here. Other tiny cars here.
