Underworld is doing so well at the box office that it may become a trilogy... very cool.
Tin Man Alley over on 2nd between Fairmount and Spring Garden is awesome. A great selection of repro tin robots and toys and tiki stuff, as well as a gallery. The owner, John (or Jonathan?) was super nice and super helpful...
Fosters is cool, too, even if the staff is snooty. And the stuff can be bought elsewhere. For cheaper. Still, the place is great fun... got a mini MINI keychain this weekend... I could have spent my entire paycheck in there!

So Mr. Isserman takes me along for his test drive of a sweet '03 20th Anniversary Edition GTI. Blam. Black. Blacked out headlamps and tails. Huge OZ rims. Special Recaro seats. Red stiching. Golf ball shifter. Individually numbered and badged. During the test drive I actually shouted "Holy crap!" twice. First and second push you back in your seat like nobody's business... flim flam on the paddysquam. I forsee lots of speedy encounters in and around Hatboro come lunchtime...

Torrential downpours this morning, all sorts of crazy delays, except for me, I get to work within 45 minutes. Gorgeous sunny days, I get to work in an hour and a half. Go figure.

Rent "Confidence"... good flick, lots of names, really kickbutt soundtrack.
I don't think I'll ever go to the movies before noon ever again. I think the people who have loud conversations with the screen, on their cellphones, or with people on the other side of the theater are up at that time.
Finally found out what the hell "druthers" are...

New, new, brand-spankin' new... stuff section is finally up, although a bit rough for now... also added some of my latest work, and fixed a few things here and there.
Summer is over, sorta, and fall really does feel like its creeping down on us... nice and cool. I've even begun thinking about my Halloween costume...
Had my procedure done yesterday. Seems I have IBS for sure... at least it answers some questions. I'm also supposed to grow out of it. Good.

Just got home to find my October issue of Automobile... flipping through and came to a double-page spread of Big Daddy Roth-style illustrations of MINI pilots... extremely cool! Turns out they're going to be a set of playing cards offered through dealers. The illustrations are by Andy Cruz of House Industries, makers of just about every cool typeface you've seen for the past five years... better yet they're local, down in Delaware! A great bunch of guys... good to see the design community getting involved...
