Interesting shots from a camera-obscura.

Exploding whales.

Remember how cute Corey was in The Bad News Bears? When Corey was a superstar as "Mouth" in Goonies? When you couldn't open up an issue of Tiger Beat without a pic of him in there? When Corey was chasing vampires in the Lost Boys? Remember when Corey started going through his creepy Michael Jackson Phase? Remember when he and The Other Corey started headlining C-List movies together? Remember when Corey was in Meatballs 4? Remember when Corey became a font? Poor Corey.

Some really cool, err, hot, fireplaces here and here.

Super-awesome software company Panic has officially retired Audion, the first truly cool music player for Mac, or any platform for that matter. We all loved it, back in our fledgling Drexel D&I days/late nights... Anyways, Panic has posted an amazing story about the history of Audion, the early days of MP3, a failed AOL deal, meeting Steve Jobs and how Audion almost became iTunes...

Gabe Bridger, extremely talented creative director/graphic designer and creator/editor of the excellent MotoringFile.com, was unexpectedly laid off today. Seeing as though some people who check out my site from time to time are "in the design biz", I thought I'd put up a post to help him out.

So, if anyone knows of any graphic design/web design full-time, freelance, or contracting jobs (specifically in the Chicago area) for someone with 5-7 years of experience please let Gabe know by emailing him at gabriel@motoringfile.com.

Here are links to his portfolio and resume.

In addition to running MotoringFile.com, Gabe also maintains a personal blog not to be missed.

Good luck Gabe. Ears to the ground for ya.

I heard about the murder of Theo van Gogh on NPR this morning and could not believe my ears... how terribly sad, and what a terribly disappointing world we live in, where difference of opinion can lead to such madness.
