Got a shout out after sending a tip to Jalopnik, one of the best auto blogs out there.
Because everyone needs an 8-foot Nintendo controller.
Two must-see lectures coming up:
House Industries at DWR
Thursday, April 7
6:30-9:00pm
Andy Cruz will discuss House Industries' work, including the Neutraface font, inspired by the Modernist architecture of Richard Neutra. We look forward to seeing you there. It's also a great opportunity to test-drive furniture and enjoy wine and hors d'oeuvres. RSVP to philadelphia@dwr.com by Tuesday, April 5. Held at the DWR Philadelphia Studio.
The Heads of State - A Lecture
Wednesday, April 13
6pm (reception), 7pm (lecture)
We'll ramble on for an hour or so about our influences, our process, and our philosophy on creating a semi-successful design studio. We'll try to be witty and informative, though we can make no promises. Held at the Tuttleman Auditorium, Philadelphia University.
Paul W.S. Anderson (think Alien vs Predator) will write and direct Deathrace 3000... so bad, but so good.
With Rhymerator and Beaterator, all that's needed is an internet connection, a mike and some attitude.
Transparent desktops.

Also, I recently submitted pics of the R5 to the Reader's Rides section of the Old Bike Barn, a purveyor of all things motorcyclic... and was accepted! You can see the old girl in all her glory here.

House Industries recently opened House 33 in London, a space which sells their collection of streetwear which employs their artwork. Awesome. Cannot wait to score some gear.
Worst logo ever.
This is really a pretty cool idea...
Winding Road Magazine is a free downloadable automotive magazine (PDF format)... the target demogrpahic may be a bit more affluent than most (I mean, they test corporate jets in the first issue) but hey, it's free!
Mr. Blobby loves you.
Silly dance videos to help you get thru Tuesday.

Hey. I'm back... well, at least my corporal self is here... my mind is still in Australia, and my spirits still in the clouds...
Not that they'll see it, but I really want to thank Ruth and the Rosedales for opening up their homes to us and being so generous and hospitable. We had such an amazing time thanks to their efforts.
And I have about 600 pictures to sort through, so be patient. I'll get stuff up as soon as I bloddy well feel like it.
Fun stuff. Especially the people screaming. I am unfortunately expecting that here soon.
Poor Herbie.
Dontcha just hate it when 19-year-olds with no formal training produce work like this?!?!
This looks like some outtake or still from an action movie, but it's really an installation called Inopportune, at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, by New York based artist Cai Guo-Qiang - a work expressing his view on the current state of global affairs. It's impressive in the flat photos... I can only imagine what it's like in person.
Add depth to any room with this too-cool table.
Moto, a new Pan-Asian restaurant in Chicago, has created edible menus made of soybean and potato starch paper printed with fruit- and vegetable-based ink. Now diners can literally taste images and/or season their meals by ripping off pieces of their menu!
